William Muller made three trips during
the Victorian era. His first trip took him to Greece and on to Egypt in
1838. He then toured France in 1840, staying for some time in the French
capital, Paris. His last trip began in 1843 and was to the Middle
East via Rhodes. Other paintings include An Eastern Street Scene, at the
Tate Gallery.
